Only one more day until spring break folks! Well, okay, one and a half! Well here’s a picture of a Sunny beach to think of while youre stuck in school or in an offce! Almost there……

Are you one of those people who is a popular target for practical jokers? Are you afraid to get pranked on April Fools day? try these tips and tricks for spotting and avoiding pranks, and then you can come out on top for once! Also, one sure sign of a prank is a giggling, grinning person standing nearby!

How to spot Pranks

• Before opening doors, check for telltale signs of practical jokes (See Below)

Signs of pranks

• string tied around the doorknob, and hanging from the door frame
• Cardboard sticking out from the door frame
• Check the door frame for tiny traces of these things, as jokers are usually careful

More tips for spotting and avoiding door pranks

• Open the door slowly, and don’t step into the room immediately.
• Keep your ears open, and stay alert for any suspicious sounds as you open the door
• If a door that is normally open is not closed, be suspicious. also vice versa
• If you are with someone, or someone is nearby, send then through the doorway or have them open the cupboard first. If they run or refuse, its a sure sign of a prank!

Avoid Pranks In the Bedroom

• stack tin cans in your doorway the night before so that if anyone comes in to try and prank you that night or the next day, you’ll hear it!
• Check your bed and pillow before crawling in to make sure its not short-sheeted or has had anything put into it
• leave your door in a certain position in the morning, and memorize it. If its in a different position later in the day, there’s a good chance that there’s a prank set up.

Ugh. The start of another week. Mondays. I don’t know anyone who actually likes them. Im pretty sure it’s the combination of getting up early, having to go to work/school, and knowing that you have four mor days of it is enough to make you want to get back in bed and pull the covers over your head. And stay there. Sigh. Anyway, want to brighten up your Monday? Here are a couple of ideas. Please comment on what you think of them.

Improve Your Monday

• Bake something Tasty. Then, you can enjoy it for the rest of the week and have fun cooking. A sweet way to start the week and take it for lunch/dessert to work/school.
• Start a new book. Then, you can enjoy reading it for the next few days, and look forward to enjoying a new book on Monday.
• Treat Yourself. For a nice start to the week, do something nice for  yourself that you wouldn’t normally do, like buy yourself a small treat or give yourself a manicure/pedicure/spa day.
• Talk to your friends. Call people you know and wish them a happy week and chat. Smile!
• Organize your Backpack/Bag/ Briefcase. You’ll feel better with this done. Honestly. Then, your bag will have more room and less mess, ready for the week.
• Plan your weekend. Your week will be better if you plan your weekend and have all week to look forward to it.

Secure a 32 oz. soda can, soda bottle, or mug to the top of your car with duct tape on the bottom. Make sure that by lookin at it, you can’t tell that the duct tape is there As if you had left it there by mistake, drive merrily along with the radio LOUD so you can’t hear the people yelling to get your drink off the car. When they point and wave, act like they are waving at you, smile and wave back. You would not believe the reactions to this in traffic. People will GET OUT OF THEIR VEHICLE and tap on the window to tell you about it!

Extra points if there is still liquid in the bottle/cup/mug

Extra Extra points if its a coffee mug still mostly full!

Note: You need a partner for this trick

Have your partner distract someone who has just opened a bottle or a can of Coke. when the victim isn’t looking, slip some m&ms into the Coke. Then, they resume drinking. Soon, the Coke will start to foam and fizz like crazy!

Notes:

• Be prepared to buy the person a new Coke afterwards
• Don’t do this in the car or risk major spillage on the upholstery
• This will probably work with other kinds of soda as well.

Call someone and when they answer, ask for Joe Bartolini (Or some other name). Repeat this several times. (Not immediately after each other!). Use different voices or do it with several other people to heighten the effect. Later, Call again and say, “This is Joe Bartolini, and I was wondering if there have been any calls for me?”
